Profile

Kurian Abraham Limited was started as proprietary concern by Late Mr. Kurian Abraham in the year 1959. This firm was engaged in selling latex which they purchased. In the year 1960, a centrifuging machine (L-779) was purchased for its first venture into processing Latex, with an output capacity of 2055 Lit per day.

Today Kurian Abraham Limited is the largest manufacturer and processor of centrifuged latex in India. Strict quality control being our highest priority, is supported with a well equipped laboratory with the latest calibrated testing equipments. Testing is done on all materials, which includes the unprocessed Latex and all Chemicals. This enables us to have control of latex quality at the initial stages of processing, and therefore establishing our success and reputation for uncompromised quality levels.

We cater to each individual's specific needs and our clients vary from gloves and condom manufactures to foam and balloon manufacturers. Customer service and care is our highest priority. In order to bring a quality management system we are preparing to go for ISO - 9002.

Expansion did not stop with just processing latex, we have therefore ventured into processing of technically specified natural rubber to produce ISNR-20 (Internationally known as SMR-20). The Company also makes technically specified natural rubber of higher grades including ISNR-3L.

With vision for a better future we have set up an indigenous surgical and examination latex glove manufacturing unit. This was the first latex glove plant set in India. The unit has an installed capacity to produce 1,64,25,000 pairs of gloves per anum. These gloves are marketed under the brand names Serjun and Caretex.

Our new project manufactures house hold gloves and industrial gloves with an installed capacity of 10,000 pairs per day, for both domestic and international markets.

Kurian Abraham Limited is not just a growing concern, but a group focussed on eco-awareness. We have set up two effluent treatment plants with capacity of processing 1,00,000 liters per day. The treated effluent water is irrigable and is utilised for agricultural purposes.

Windmills
In order to give our share of co operation to the government in the field of power generation through non conventional energy sources, we have set up a wind farm at our Muppandal factory site. The power generated by the windmills, after our own power needs are catered to, is being sold to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. Plans have been implimented to increase the number of windmills at the Muppandal site.
