Coming from an agricultural / farming background we ventured into the field of Rubber Plantations in 1945 with the setting up of the Vellimalai Rubber Co. Ltd. Since then we have been closely associated with almost all aspects of the Latex Rubber Industry in India. We have gone in for horizontal integration and today produce various forms of processed latex forms (used as raw material in other industries) as well as finished products in the shape of Examination & Surgical gloves. Kurian Abraham Ltd. is the largest manufacturers and processors of centrifuged latex in India. A modern manufacturing facility equipped with state of the art laboratory testing equipments has been instrumental in establishing our success and reputation. Kurian Abraham Ltd. also has the facility to process technically specified natural rubber and has regular contract for the supply of this called ISNR 20 (internationally known as SMR 20). We own gloves manufacturing units having production capacity of 360 lakh pairs of gloves per annum and our gloves both surgical and examination are exported on a regular basis to places like The America, The Europe, The Middle East and The Africa. The turn over of our group of companies during 1997-98 was Rs. 840 million ( US$ 20 million). Our inherent strength and infrastructure in rubber plantations has facilitated us in embarking upon and establishing ourselves as a major force in the industry, in the rubber based products. We are constantly looking at ways to enlarge and add on to our product range.
